I think you can feel safe in Trabzon because almost all of the people are minding their own business and even if they understand you are a tourist they would act nicer and more polite. Just be careful about scams!

It is a safe city in Turkey. People in Trabzon are very hospitable. I don't feel unsafe in this city. The only bad thing for me is the dogs on the streets. I'm really scared of them, but that doesn't mean they will attack you, it's just my personal fear.
