Fribourg is a low crime rate city, and I always felt safe in it. Since it’s a student city, it is very calm and safe to walk alone during the night and there isn’t a lot of unsafe places in the city.

Fribourg is super safe!! You can walk everywhere and just relax...swiss people are very honest, so I f you loose something, go back to the place and you'll find it there.. you need to enjoy the city!

Fribourg is a little city, with just one or two streets and a parc where I wouldn’t walk alone at night, otherwise always felt really safe! I walk often alone at night when coming back from an evening with friends.

Fribourg is overall not the most interesting nor safest for women to travel around. As a local myself, I tend to get worried when I have to get home late. I have been followed home once in my life and the man interacted with me wanting my number & asking if i live in a specific building. I highly suggest you to AVOID main train station during night as there are tons of junkies and drunks. Stay safe girlies🫶🏻
