Is Zug safe for solo female travelers?

Zug is a magnificent city in Switzerland that is known for its low crime rate and friendly residents. As a solo female traveler, you will feel incredibly secure navigating its scenic streets, both in the daytime and evenings. The locals are welcoming and generally speak good English, so you can always reach out for help when you need. Particular attention is given to public safety and police are reliable and reachable. However, as always, it’s advisable to practice standard safety precautions no matter how safe the place is.

How safe is Zug for solo female travelers?

Solo travel

I personally enjoyed the simplicity that came with visiting Zug, but it’s definitely a bit on the boring side surprisingly. But overall it is quite expensive but also has beautiful scenery and relatively easy to navigate public transport.

Zug is like most citys in switzerland really safe. Crime rates are really low and it is safe to walk through the city at night alone. To some it might be a bit uncomfortable because the city isn‘t too busy at night and you can find yourself walking in streets with barely any people.

Zug is a very welcoming city. We have a fantastic open-minded community. The authorities are doing a great job of keeping our people protected! The App is asking for more things to write but our city keeps me breathless and speechless. This is my hometown. Although I haven’t been born here, I grew up here and I absolutely love it. If you like Zurich but would appreciate to get away from a hectic big city - Zug is the place for you!

There are a lot of securities at the mainstation. There are some teenagers that might frighten you, but I’ve never experiences something criminal before. Just don’t like at them or provoke them. I feel pretty safe and Zug is a nice city:)

About me

Hallo! I‘m currently living in Vienna but soon going back home. I‘m a lot more in Zurich than Zug. So if you need a friend who can show you the coolest cafes / bars there, I‘m down. 🤭🫶🏻 I love to travel (on a budget🫠) and meeting new girls to connect with. 💙 What I love: reading, cooking, Pilates, horse riding, chill nights at home or at a wine bar with my best friends

But I also like to have some time for myself and care about myself. I play the piano and I like to read. I love to do sports and learn new skills.
