I spent four weeks in Lugano while working in a nearby little town and absolutely loved the atmosphere. Lugano feels safe, especially when in a group. I wouldn’t recommend walking alone late at night near the bar or pier areas, but overall, the city has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. One of the highlights was renting boats with friends—we had four in total and even swam in the lake. While there isn't a ton of formal sightseeing, just walking around the city is enjoyable. Family travel

We went to the concert of Einaudi. It was beautifull. City also. It’s not so easy to find places for swimming. You have a little beach. The enviroment is beautifull. In half an hour you are in Italy & you can visit another lake

Group travel

I would recommend Lugano, Switzerland for the beautiful places it has, specially if you find someone to show you around,I was lucky enough to have a friend who took me there and done a trip on the mountains, the view towards the lake was spectacular! The food also very good!

Lugano is a so safe place, it looks like Milan but it's much more safe, u don't have to worry about getting robbed or anything, u can leave the door of ur house open and nothing will happen probably 🎀💛

I grew up here and I could say that walking alone at night isn’t scary. Still, it would be better for women to be in a group of people, because you never know what could happen. Overall I think it’s pretty safe and crimes happen rarely
