Slovenia is by far one of the safest countries, especially for solo female travelers. Reason; well, basically barely anyone around and people leave each other alone, but will help you when you ask. I visited Ljubljana and went to an abandoned hotel, which was super cool. Then I went to Kranj, stayed in a hostel with view on nature and visited Lake bled!! You can walk through cities, but if you wanna visit other towns you should use Flixbus, Train or Arriva Bus. Super underrated country, nature was 10/10 and it is cheap
Posted: July 11, 2024I absolutely loved Slovenia (though we only were in Ljubljana and I can’t wait to see other parts of the country) People were super nice to us and I didn’t feel unsafe at all There is so many cute things to do in Ljubljana (can’t remember the name but there is a squatt that is so cool too)

It's the most amazing country I have been to yet! I felt so safe, the people were absolutely lovely 😍 The views were insane, the water was so blue! There was so much to see, and I just loved every minute of it 💗
Posted: April 17, 2024Experienced: February, 2024I visited Ljubljana first, and then I stayed in a hostel near Lake Bled, setting out each day to explore Bohinj, Vintgar Gorge, and Bled. The people are incredibly friendly. I felt completely safe at all times, even though I didn't really venture out in the evenings. Overall, it was an amazing trip. If you love natural beauty and hiking, add Slovenia to your wish list.
Posted: January 1, 2024I spent 18 days alone in Slovenia and felt very safe. I stayed in Ljubljana for 3 nights, then rented a car and went to Lake Bled, then to Lake Bohinj, Kranjska Gora, Bovec, to the coast to Piran, and back to Ljubljana, with many stops along the way. I met the kindest people and saw some of the most beautiful landscapes.
Posted: December 28, 2023One of the safest and most friendly countries I have visited in Europe, plus it's relatively cheap and not as crowded as other main "tourist" attractions. We stayed in Bled and visited the Vintgar Gorge, and I also spent a night in Ljubljana and made a day trip to the caves in Postojna and Predjama Castle. Both of these cities can be explored on foot, and in Ljubljana, I used the TaxiMetro app when needed. As a solo female, I felt very safe there.
Posted: December 3, 2023I highly recommend Slovenia. I felt very safe there. I spent 3 nights in Ljubljana, then rented a car and went to Lake Bled, then to Lake Bohinj, then to Kranjska Gora, Bovec, down to Piran on the coast and back to Ljubljana, making many stops on the way back. I met the kindest people and saw some of the most beautiful nature. I can't wait to go back.
Posted: August 14, 2023Slovenia was the perfect place for my first solo trip. It was safe, inexpensive, and easy to get around. I visited Ljubljana and Bled, as well as took a one-day tour with Viator to Triglav National Park. I loved every moment in this beautiful country. There were plenty of sightseeing and adventure opportunities, but I also spent a lot of time in cafes, reading and trying delicious Slovenian wine.
Posted: August 4, 2023I had an incredible experience during my first solo trip to Slovenia. The scenery was breathtaking, the cuisine delicious, and I felt safe at all times. It was particularly fascinating for me, because this country has undergone many changes over the last few decades, being passed between different states, yet Slovenians managed to preserve their language and culture. I also had the opportunity to visit some medieval castles, which turned out to be very enjoyable for me.
Posted: July 31, 2023I went to Ljubljana in June. The journey to Lake Bled was very straightforward. I also visited Vintner Gorge. There, there is a walk to the hill with a fantastic viewpoint over Lake Bled. I also was in the caves and the castle on the hill. The people were charming and I felt very safe. I love Slovenia!

It’s a cozy and cheap but gorgeous version of Switzerland. Highly recommend spending a week of two to explore all regions by car or camper etc. People are mostly chill but not particularly cheerful or nice.

Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The people are incredibly friendly and it has some of the most beautiful mountains views and waterfalls I have ever seen!! I feel this is a country for everyone: you like hiking? Triglav national park is your place. You like spa breaks? There are hundreds of thermal spas around the country. You like sight seeing? Lots of historical sights for you to visit !! The only downside is the food. I must say in bled (where I stayed) the food wasn’t that great. However when we visited the city there were loads of cute cafes and nice restaurants there
