To do: - Walk along the beautiful canal - See the Triple Bridge - Climb up to the castle - Try Slovenian street food Safety: As a solo traveler, I always felt safe. Recommendations: Ljubljana is a small and charming city. I highly recommend spending one day there, and another at Lake Bled.

Posted: September 3, 2022Ljubljana is generally a safe town. You can walk by yourself in the city center at night. The public transport is safe to use. There is no danger in getting murdered or kidnapped. You should take care of you belongings like in every other city.
Posted: April 21, 2024Generally safe. Have been sexually harrased once as a young girl when I was alone walking home alone... as an adult it doesn't really happen or if anyone tries, ignoring them is usually enough to make them stop. Men don't catcall or follow you around. The most possible harrasment is if you wander around bars at night and there's some drunk men but even they back off when rejected. Stealing or pickpocketing is not really a thing here eihter. Don't leave your stuff around unprotected but otherwise people won't try to steal from you. Most likely crime to happen is bicycle theft :) if you ever feel unsafe, go anywhere where there's other people and you should be okay. Or talk to anyone that looks younger than 40, they pretty much all know english.

Ljubljana was the only place where I went and it felt like a home. The city is very beautiful and has a soul, people are kind, food is great, I recommend the place "Šeherzada" in the center of city. There you can get burger or kebab for 4-5€, big pizza is 8€, its really affordable and delicious. The city was quite expensive for me but I didn't spent that much, around 50-60€, I was there only for a day so can't recommend transport or place to stay ♡
Posted: March 31, 2024Experienced: February, 2024Ljubljana has a fantastic atmosphere and is worth visiting, at least during a trip around Slovenia. The city is quite small, with many medieval streets, as well as a castle hill, which offers a magnificent panorama. It's necessary to visit the bar on the top floor of the skyscraper, where you can indulge in drinks with a view of the entire city. It's also worth trying the Balkan burek, Slovenian gibanica, and super-sweet Hungarian chimney cakes that are perfect for posting on Instagram.

Hi! I'm Amanda and I'm a beginner traveller. I would be more than happy to find new friends and plan trips together. I'm not into partying and would rather visit a nature trail, spa, museum or just walk around and get to know places. I'm also open to beach vacations. People usually describe me as a kind-hearted, open-minded and funny person. I want everyone to feel like their wishes has been heard and try to make them happen so that everyone can enjoy the trip. I speak Finnish, Swedish and English and would like to learn Spanish. Let's make memories together😁❤️
