Group travel experience

Bled was a perfect hiking experience! Beautiful sights around the lake for everyone who likes shorter or longer walks. The people were extremely friendly and helpful, even children spoke fluent English. Renting a bike is surprisingly cheap.

Local experiences

In Bled don't miss Vintgar Gorge, it has a walkway running around it, so is an easy stroll, and absolutely beautiful (the colour of the water is astonishing!). Nearby is Lake Bohinj, which I think is more beautiful than Bled. You could just take a bus there. You could also get a bus, or even better join a day tour going up over the Vršič Pass to Bovec and the Soča river, where there are loads of "adventure" type activities, zip wires, rafting, etc, as well as more gentle walks to see the river and valley. Vršič Pass itself is interesting, and worth doing, even if you are not the adventure type. It has 50 switchbacks (24 going up, 26 going down), each with spectacular views and a lovely chapel to visit (honoring the Russion prisoners who died building the road). There are bound to be day tours available once you get to Bled.
