Safety at night:Moderate
Stavropol, like many other Russian towns, can be generally safe but it might have its downsides. The city is generally quiet and peaceful, however, it is advisable to be cautious especially when walking alone at night. The city center is relatively safe, but the outskirts and some remote areas can be a concern. It's best to look confident, avoid carrying a lot of cash or wearing expensive jewelry, and avoid empty and dark streets. As always, applying common sense measures like informing someone about your whereabouts can substantially increase your safety.
