Sandnes is a very small town in Norway. It’s boring but pretty, which is nice. I never feel unsafe really ever, of course no place is perfect, but compared to bigger cities Sandnes is very safe. I never feel scared to walk alone at dark, or anything like that. It’s truly a bit too boring to be scary😭

Sandnes is very safe. Some youths doing teenager trouble in town, but absolutely nothing to worry about. Of course you should use common sence, but over all it is very safe in Norway. The Norwegian people are often reserved, but helpful.

I have lived in Sandnes since I was 3 years old, and have never experienced any sexual or physical assault when walking alone. Norway in general has very low criminal rates and Sandnes is a small town next to Stavanger, which is fairly safe to visit. Besides, almost everyone here speaks English so you won't have to worry about not being understood.

About me

Hi! I’m Malin, 33 years from Sandnes, Norway. I travelled a bit on my own before and love this concept! Love being active; hiking, swimming, sauna, skiing and volunteer work etc. I live about 1 hour from the famous Pulpit Rock, 1 hour from 1000m high mountains, ski resorts and beautiful hiking in summer time. Let me know if you are travelling in the area, I can host and might join you for some exploring :D
