A quick weekend trip. Lovely city! Very clean, with very nice wooden architecture. Very friendly people. I stayed in a private room from Airbnb. In a center, not too expensive. Lovely host! The city itself is easy to walkaround, not many spectacular atractions. But the atmosphere of the city, it's vibe is what is the most valuable. There are many beautiful hiking trails around the city. Not dificult, among trees and stones with amazing views

It’s a decent town with a beautiful location on the South East coast of Norway. It’s beautiful in the summer, perfect spot if you want to experience Stavernfestivalen. There are lots of nature tracks by the water and forest, lots of activities and events during the summer and lots tourist. You’ve got everything you need close by, the city is 1.5 hours from Oslo with train, have a boat to Sweden (Strømstad) or to Denmark in Larvik. Several local beaches and is very safe for solo travelers and families. There’s also a lot history related to the 2nd WW and whale fishing too.
