Its an okay city by dutch standard. I take walks in the evening (up till 22 oclock) in the city and nothing really happens. I would safer than amsterdam and rotterdam, because the city is also less crowded to begin with

I can walk alone from the city center to my house at midnight and feel safe enough (I live a 15-minute walk from downtown). I have never encountered a single person who tried to harm me. And the people here so far are friendly and nice.

I lived here most of my life and i can say if I haven't experience any dangerous situations, then there is only one in a million chance it would happen to you. Where i life is very peaceful and the city centre is outgoing in a very cute way

Hi, I am a proud mom of two wonderful kids and the wife of a Dutchie. I work in cybersecurity. I’m originally from Indonesia, but I’ve lived in Singapore, Australia, Germany, and Austria, and am now settled in the Netherlands with my family. When I was younger, I used to backpack and travel solo. I still love traveling and enjoy doing it alone, with family or friends, and it would be great to connect with fellow female travelers. I met some of my best friends during my solo trips, and I hope to continue doing so. Cheers!
