It is overall safe, nothing has ever happened to me, nor i am too afraid that it is going to.
Robberies mostly happen in isolated/ or almost isolated houses in the outskirts.
I think that this town is pretty safe.

Really calm area between the mountains of southern Italy. During the day Avellino is quite alive and people normally walks down the main area of the city. The nights are not very vibrant in winter but it is easy to find a local festival and very good food during summer. All year long bars are open and rarely something dangerous happens
