Is Villeurbanne Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I'm not sure I've been here for 6 months only but I've never had problems. Maybe it's because I live close to a police station. I usually stay in the main streets when I'm out alone at night. I would say public transports are pretty safe as there always are many people even late at night.

People pretty much mind their own business, even among the guys' gathering at night. I've never been a victim of any physical agression. Pick pocketing can happen though. There can be some unsafe driving among the street youths, might be noisy.
