My town IS small and quiet. The city center IS safe except by night the train station area. You have to be carefull. Their IS not a lot of bus so it's better to cycle. I'll give to you my bike. Périgueux in général IS nice and green along thé river. Enjoy!

It's a pretty safe city, though like everywhere some nasty things happen from time to time, including one rape in the middle of the day in front of a church... But except from this, I have never felt threatened in the city and nothing has ever happened to me.
