It's a city with a lot of secondary and high school student, let imagine 60%. The center of Niort is La Place de La Brèche, where there is a lot of people evryday because the street has a lot of shop.

I know the places you can avoid, like "Place de la brèche", but there are beautiful places with open-minded people :) I found that, as a lesbian, this city is safe for LGBT people, in a year I have never been less respected in a restaurant, in a street or museum
