Is Le Mans worth visiting?

Is Le Mans safe for women?

Le Mans is not like Paris or Nantes for example, it is more safe. However: Men sometimes whistle at me, alcoholic or drug-addicted men come up to me from time to time when I'm waiting for the bus in the evening, and once a man followed me down the street at night. But I've always got away with it by walking away, ignoring their remarks, or by getting closer to groups of people. In the middle of the day, even on my own, I'm fine. I often go for walks by the water or in the old town, and I haven't had any problems there. When I go out on the town in the evening with my friends, everything goes well because I don't stay alone.
