Is Laval Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Generally pretty safe. I wouldn't walk alone in a dark alley at night, but other than that I feel comfortable in the city. The biggest crime here is home invasion and robbery. Definitely keep doors locked on houses and cars.

All cities have safe and unsafe places. Be carefull with the men in general. If you're a person of color the problem can also be from white people or the police. Don't talk to drunk men. Laval has lights in the night, which is supposed to be the reality everywhere, but as it's not, then it's a good point.

Laval is a small town. I have been living there since 2020, and I haven't encountered any particular issues, especially in the evenings in the city center. I would say it's a place where one generally feels safe. However, I go out occasionally, not all the time, so my statements should be confirmed by other women living in Laval.
