Grenoble was very nice. I got the chance to be hosted by a local for the weekend and she showed me around her favourite places. I loved the adventure of discovering a new city and especially through the eyes of someone who lives there and loves her city.

As long as you are in a group or on a bike, especially at night, you should be safe. Grenoble is a pretty city, but suffers from a bad reputation. Some areas are a no-go. But you can enjoy the city center quite safely during the day and the start of the evening. Public transportation is safe from what i saw.

Always men to catcall and/or stare, avoid walking alone at night and avoid letting men talking to you randomly in the street (it is rarely for anything but harassment). There is a good app that's call The Sorority, allows you to warn other women in case of problems, they have your location and can come help you.

Pretty safe city if you avoid « ghetto » parts, the center and the surrounding like « saint Egreve » are really calm and have a beautiful views of the mountains. During winter its better to not stay late at night cause past 00h The streetlights are off.

Hello and welcome! I live in Fontaine, a quiet suburb of Grenoble, France, in a lovely little house in a peaceful neighborhood. I share my home with my 21-year-old daughter and Caramel the cat 🐈. 🌸 I love nature, books, and of course... traveling! I'm new to this app, so to begin with, I'm only offering to host solo female travelers. The place is safe, warm, and feminine, and you'll enjoy the large shaded garden full of fruit trees. 🧳 I'm preparing a feminist and spiritual journey to Indonesia (Sumatra & Bali) in a few months, to connect with matrilineal women and cultures. I'm excited to meet other women travelers and would be happy to exchange ideas, tips, or simply share kind and meaningful moments. 💜 What you'll find here: respect, simplicity, calm, and rest. --- Practical info: 🚋 Tram: 7 min walk 🏬 City center: 15 min by tram 🚇 Train & bus station: 10 min by tram ✈️ Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport: 1h by Flixbus 🚌⛰️ Vercors mountains: reachable by T64 & T65 bus lines Bonjour et bienvenue !
