Dijon is a little city safe, I feel safe as a young woman, even if I walk by night in the city. There are just few neighbourhoods to avoid at night, like the Grésilles and the city of Chenôve. These are far from the historical city-center, so there is no need to worry.

Dijon is a pretty safe city, especially during the day. At night, you must not pass by some places but overall it’s still quite safe. Indeed, if you enjoy nightlife and clubbing, be careful when leaving the clubs because place de la République can sometimes be a little dangerous.

Safe and quiet, this quirky ancient city in France offers quite a few nice places to visit. I enjoy shopping around the city and its surroundings, especially introducing it to visitors discovering it for the first time. Welcome!

Generally safe, some areas should be avoided at night such as Place de la République, the Grésille district, and Fontaine d'Ouche. People are willing to help even if they look unfriendly. So don't hesitate to ask if you have a problem.
