Lahti and Finalnd overall was incredibly safe. I like to take walks at night and I was not at all worried. But on Friday and Saturday evening sometimes some weird people are around, but they're easy to avoid and not dangerous. The only thing that you should take care of is your bike. It is common that if something gets stolen it will be a bike xD

Lahti is actually known as one of the unsafest cities in Finland. But living here for 6 months and i hadn’t got any bad situation on my mind. People here are rather quite and home lovers so there is a really low chance to meet someone in the streets☺️

I have been living here for more than a month, and I go out all the time, yet still nothing happened, and no one approached me. I feel so safe here to leave my stuff and then come back to them again. It's a great city in a great country.

Lahti has a little bit bad reputation. People called it the Chicago of Finland. I have never felt scared there and I think the bad reputation is coming from drugs. It is a very small town and for example when walking during night, you might not see anybody.
