Is Mount Buller safe for solo female travelers?

Mount Buller is generally very safe for solo female travelers. The locals are friendly and helpful. The area is well-patrolled and crimes, especially against tourists, are relatively rare. Nonetheless, as in any destination, it's still important to exercise basic safety precautions like not walking alone at night in unlit areas.
