About Me

Hi! I'm a 19 yo who is discovering life. I moved to the UK from Italy a few months ago and I'm temporarily staying at my parents' house. I came here with my boyfriend, but we recently broke up after almost 4 years together. We're in good terms so we're still living together, but I'm looking forward to find myself a job and my own house and discover life. I've never been really alone or independent, so now I'm learning to love my alone time, I'm finding new interests and I'm trying to make friends here since I don't have friends here. I love anything that's creative, peaceful and close to the nature. I'm not into adrenaline activities, rushing in general or the nightlife. I'd rather go to a library than go to a party to drink. I do like the idea of themed parties such as those ones that look like they came out of a book, but I've never been to one.

Family travel

I visited Birmingham with my mom and baby, and while it felt pretty safe overall, I was honestly underwhelmed. There were a lot of homeless people around, and the city felt very dirty, especially on the weekends. Airbnb rentals were surprisingly expensive, and while the food wasn’t bad, it was pretty average and not as affordable as I expected. The tourist attractions and historic sites were free, which was nice, but they didn’t really stand out. For 9 days, we spent around £2000, and it just didn’t feel worth it. I’ve never felt this unimpressed by a city before.

Solo travel

Birmingham is big city a bit chaotic but very well connected by public transport. The Victoria square and the library are great places to spend the afternoon. Birmingham is multicultural so you cam also find great food from all around the world
