About Me

I love cooking, eating, yoga, hot springs and traveling. I have been living in Fukuoka city since I was born and it's my pleasure to show you around. If you want to hang out with me, please feel free to ask. Before pandemic, I organized many events for travelers & locals such as " Beer factory tour" and "Night picnic in Hakata station". The reason is... when I studied English in London, I joined many events organized by a charitable organization and I had a wonderful time. I appreciate these kind & generous local people gave the warm welcome to international students like me. So I come up with the idea that I give back to oversea visitors traveling my home town. I still love London and visit once a year. I hope people visit Fukuoka city feel the same way through my guide. :) If you would like to do something in Fukuoka requires my help as a local or as an interpreter & a translator, please don't hesitate. I will do my best. I passed the Cambridge University English Exam when I was in UK and I can speak English quite well.

Is Fukuoka worth visiting?

Solo travel

Japan is definitely an extremely safe country overall but itā€™s still a little surprising that that fact extends to the cities even when youā€™re a solo lady. I only stopped in Fukuoka city for one day while on a road trip but it was really easy to walk around even in the evening and just enjoy the vibe of the city. It was Golden Week so it was lively even though it was a weekday but I didnā€™t get any unwanted attention and I ended up staying out ridiculously late visiting the small bars and karaoke spots around! Oh, and eating too much gelato lol. Iā€™m hoping I can go back and spend some more time there.
