Is Fukuoka safe for women?

Fukuoka is a very safe place, where you can solo trip as a girl alone with no problems. No need to worry about being harassed in anyway. You can go out at night freely, however almost everything closes at 20:00 ~ 22:00

Environmentally it is rather safe as earthquakes and tsunamis rarely ever come. The people are kind too but you can never be too careful! Try avoiding trains full of people, as there is a risk of being sexually assaulted (although, it is safe enough to sleep a little if you're sitting down). This is a wide problem, not only in Fukuoka obviously but all over japan. Pickpocketing isn't usually a problem either, but like i said before you can never be too careful.
