Hi. My name is Amy Mizutani and I’m an English teacher. I live in a rustic house, off-the-beaten part, in Inabe city in Mie Prefecture, situated between Nagoya and Osaka. It is a quiet and beautiful place surrounded by nature where you can experience the day-to-day lifestyle of the locals and their community. You are welcome to stay at my place, explore the surroundings, and share your experiences with the locals. Please let me know if you are interested; you are more than welcome to stay at my place.

Hi! I’m an American Expat currently living in Okinawa, Japan. I moved here in Nov 2024 from Italy, where I had been living for the 4 years prior. I live with my partner, Francisco, whom is also an expat that I met in Italy 3 years ago. Together, we have a passion for traveling and really enjoying the culture of the countries we travel and stay in. I think we have traveled to 35 countries together now (I lost count)! I also live with my two lovely feline lifelines, Luna and Gio. They are quite the adventure cats. What I love most about travel is the perspective it provides and the enamor and awe one can experience through it. I want to do what I can to facilitate that experience for other travelers and find like minded free spirits that are just passing through.

hi~٩( ᐖ ) I'm Minami, 19yo Japanese. I’m a university student living alone in Hakodate . In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, and going for walks around the city. I’m really excited to welcome you to Japan! My apartment is small but cozy, and I hope you’ll feel at home here. Don’t worry if you’re nervous — I’m also introvert lol but I’ll do my best to help you with anything you need.

I am English Teacher, working in Kure, Hiroshima. I am also doing my postgrade so sadly no time to travel this year 😭, but I am more than happy to host. What else do people say 🤔...oh I am very friendly, love washing every food container and I am surrounded by dying plants, honestly they are mocking me, My one plant has been in stasis for a year, green as grass, and yet, no new leaf (super power I tell you, it creeps me out a bit)

I was in Takamatsu for 4 days which was more than enough to see the city and some nearby nature areas. I went to and recommend: - Takamatsu Castle Park - Ogijima (lsland) - Ritsurin Garden - Kotohiragu (shrine, hike up 800 stairs) - Sanuki Manno Park - Takaya Shrine (hike) - Chichibugahama Beach (great for sunset and there's an uncle who takes photos for you for free) I recommend Kotohiragu and Sanuki Manno Park the same day because it's just a short bus ride from near the bottom of the shrine to the bottom of the park. In the bus there's a phone number to call the park and have a car pick you up (for free) to bring you to the entrance of the park (pay for entrance fee). I didn't have a Japanese phone number but the bus driver kindlly told me about this and called for me! Otherwise I would've had to walk uphill for 30+ minutes just to get to the entrance. PSA for vegans: Few to no vegan options in the area. I went out for food twice and the rest was surviving off of grocery store food. Two bakeries in the main strip in Takamatsu had plain white baguettes and another bakery had big sliced bread that were all vegan (grocery store bread all has milk). Funnily enough Starbucks has several vegan desserts in Japan so I had some of those (although definitely more pricy so it's a treat)
Posted: July 9, 2025I loved Okinawa as I lived there for three years and tracked around the island. The people are so nice and pleasant and the food and experiences are surprisingly cheap. I definitely would say a lot of military ruin some of the experiences but overall it’s a very safe and pleasant experience.
