Hi, I'm Minami and I'm 28. I absolutely love exploring new places and hanging out with ppl. I currently live pretty close to Shinjuku/ Shibuya. (You gotta walk for like 15min from my place to the closest station, but the train ride's about 15min for both) If you're ever in Tokyo and need a place to crash, feel free to reach out anytime😊 I'm gonna be in Finland around mid June! Hopefully I can meet up with some fellow travellers💟 Minami

Hello everyone! I’m originally from Mongolia and have been in Japan for eight years, with the last four in Tokyo. I just finished my master’s degree and am currently job hunting here. I love traveling and have been lucky to visit a few countries during my school vacations—definitely hoping to explore more in the future! Meeting people from different places is always exciting, so I’d love to connect with fellow travelers. I live in a cozy one-room apartment, so sleeping arrangements will be on the floor. I know how pricey accommodations in Tokyo can be, so I’d love to help out fellow young travelers.

【about me 】 I like outdoor activities. Rock climbing, indoor bouldering, motorbike (Honda Rebel), diving, hiking, driving boats etc.. My friends describe me as very energetic and adventurous person as I already hiked Mt Fuji 3 times. I’m very familiar with local Japanese mountains, so hit me up if you want advices. 【Travel】 My travel style is buy experiences rather than buy the things. I like to travel like a local, so I always try to get connection with local ppl wherever I go so that I can find hidden jems.

I’m an avid traveler but new to traveling solo. For those requesting to be hosted: I live quite out of the central city and take over an hour to commute into the city. I don’t think my place is ideal if you wanna be close to the city. More than happy to share some travel tips though!

Tokyo was amazing!! A friend and I visited to celebrate graduation, and mostly stayed with my family as well as a couple nights in cheap hotels. As a big thrifting + vintage goods enthusiast, Shimo-Kitazawa was definitely my favorite neighborhood. My only two warnings would be to 1) be aware that upskirting is a problem (but mostly not a concern for foreigners) and 2) it’s easy to get separated on the trains during rush hour. Otherwise, Tokyo is incredibly safe and easy to get around, even as someone whose Japanese isn’t perfect.

Safety is on maximum There are lots of things to see, to do, to visit, in Japan they have a really good railway system, so it's easy to visit other smaller cities from Tokyo just by metro. Talking about food, it's pretty cheap, but there are lots of tasty spots. It's better to check ticktock recommendations, but everything with matcha is a must-have. However, it was uneasy to find more or less healthy food, thank God I brought buckwheat with me from Russia. Personally, I spent about 1500 for 2 weeks, including rent (4 people in one apartment), shopping, and everything else but airplane tickets.

Hello! I’m a resident of Kanazawa hoping to do an exchange with someone in Tokyo. A few times a year I like to visit Tokyo to visit friends and go to special events like Comiket, Magical Mirai and Hardcore Tanoshi so it would be nice to stay with someone close to the central city. Specifically Aug 15-17 and Aug 29-31 and then I’ll be in Tokyo from 18-20 too but I’m intending to camp. Kanazawa is little Kyoto so we have geisha districts and one of the best gardens in the country. During the winter we’re blanketed in snow and there’s a direct bus to 2 different ski lodges from the main station. During the summer we have Noto beaches. My home is a kominka (machiya) built during the 1920’s within 15 minutes of Higashi Chaya Gai and I live here with my cat. The location is very convenient with a bus stop to the station 2 minutes away (10 minutes to the station by 100yen bus) and the bus stop to major locations a 5-7 minute walk away. Within a 5 minute walk there’s a grocery store, family restaurants, and conbini. I rent out rooms to tourists but will black out dates for you to come stay. It’s a private room with either futon or bed depending on availability. Of course you can use amenities like the kitchen, washer, etc. The main rule is quiet time after 22:00. よろしくお願いたします
