It feels safe, I have never been afraid to walk alone at night
In the summer there are a lot of people but you can rent a bike and go away from the center

My friends and I rented a car and went to Annecy for a day. It was a great trip, it was inexpensive, had a great vibe, and the city was very beautiful. We swam in the lake, were on the beach, and the atmosphere was very safe. Our entire day trip with a rental car cost us about 30-40 euros.
