Montreal
First solo trip ; both excited and slightly terrified. I’m a lawyer from Montreal who needs some time to relax and rewind before starting my master in January. I love nature, deep conversations, peaceful mornings, and exploring new places. Looking to make genuine connections with other women !

Montreal is really safe. I walk at night without any fear. The worst crime for tourists right now is car theft. People are friendly in general. Do not hesitate to visit as a solo female traveler, you will not be disappointed.
Posted: November 3, 2025I feel very secure in Montreal. Of course, it depends on the neighborhood and the time of day. I’ve never had any problems. Usually quebecers are very nice, welcoming and helpful if you ask them for an advice or an information.
Posted: October 30, 2025Definitely safe for solo traveling women. Never been scared to use public transportation late at night or to walk back home. There are specific downtown spots where homeless/addict people hangout, i would not go there in the middle of the night on purpose, but otherwise, very very safe city with welcoming people.

Safe for single ladies to walk around on their own in the day, and at night too. Just avoid dark alleys for normal safety precautions. Transportation runs efficiently and is safe as well. Montreal is a safe city.
