Taipei is very safe actually, even if i go out alone at night I'm still not worried. There are lights everywhere,so no need to worry about walking on dark alleys. But I would still be careful at night, there are some homeless people, but they are quite harmless just minding there own business.

Depends on the area, mostly safe, but need to be aware of the Ximen-Wanhua area. As long as you’re near the public transport, MRT or buses are usually active till 12:00-1:00 am. If you feel unsafe, make sure to reach out to the nearest convenience store, such as 7-11 or Family Mart. They are open 24 hours.

Very safe in most of the districts, people are nice and willing to help! There are some night clubs and bars, even coffee shops, Uber is safe to ride! Sometimes there are indeed strange people out there, but rarely encountered
Posted: May 11, 2025I grew up in Taipei and knew it was recognized as an incredibly safe city. In fact, it is so secure that when I moved out of Taiwan and visited other places, I realize how much I took it for granted. Please do not worry and have so much fun🤍

Taipei is generally very safe and it’s not a problem to walk around most neighborhoods at night at all. However, places like bars and clubs can be a bit messy and there have been cases of people getting roofied. I guess in general I’d recommend people to relax and enjoy Taipei however you like. Crime rates are relatively low as well. But still people, especially and unfortunately women, need to be wary when they’re in a place involving alcohol.

I travelled to Taiwan, Taipeh with my friends and had the best time ever! The food was the best I had in a long time and for the price it was too good to be true. I felt so safe in Taipeh and never had any issues with feeling uncomfortable. But also around Taipeh I was so impressed by the nature. I highly recommend going there!!

Hiiiii💕 My name is Yu Tsen Chien, but you can call me Ariel. I’m an 18 years old design student from Taiwan🇹🇼 and will turn 19 this June. (if you don’t know where is Taiwan, it is where bubble milk tea come from🧋) Sooooo, I’m going to Istanbul as a global volunteer, and after that, I’m planning to explore Italy and France for around two weeks!🥰 It’s a big adventure for me—I’ll be traveling solo and self-funded, with a budget of just €1500. That’s why I’m hoping to find a host who could offer me a couch or a safe place to sleep🫶🏻‼️ I’m super friendly, love meeting people from different cultures, and would be happy to share about Taiwanese food, language, or anything you’re curious about. I’d also love to hang out or cook together if we get the chance! Also—if you are a local or are planning to travel around Southern Europe during that time, I’d love to find a travel buddy too! Whether it’s just for a day trip or a few stops together, I’d be so happy to connect and explore with someone new😊 feel free to connect on my IG or Whatsapp: @ariellejian/ +886975015529
