I travelled to Taiwan, Taipeh with my friends and had the best time ever! The food was the best I had in a long time and for the price it was too good to be true. I felt so safe in Taipeh and never had any issues with feeling uncomfortable. But also around Taipeh I was so impressed by the nature. I highly recommend going there!!

Solo travel

I felt really safe in Taipei, the weather was nice, and the food was delicious. I stayed at WoW Hostel in Ximending, it was cheap and the beds were good, with curtains and a lockers. It was sometimes a bit noisy but it is normal is this neither, I didn't mind. Staff was friendly too. Taipei is really great for museums and culture ! I loved it

I recommend staying in Taipei for a couple days! My biggest recommendation is tot ur Taiwanese breakfast! Fan Tuan is a breakfast food in Taiwan and it’s basically a rice ball with stuff in it. It’s super cheap at around 40 twd :)

Group travel

I was in Taipei for 3 days. The weather was a bit gloomy during Chinese New Year. We move around with MRT, bus and local train. The service is top notch. On time, cheap and clean. Food is average for me. It's People are polite and helpful if you try to communicate effectively. Taipei is the most safest city especially for solo female traveller. You can walk the street without so much worries. Accept the scooters. They are a bit reckless. I went with a group but will do it solo next time.

Solo travel

Very safe city, clean, easy to get around, people are very friendly. Amazing food (nightmarkets!), Elephant mountain for great views of Taipei 101, Yangmingshan sunset and night views. Beitou hot springs, Tamsui, and daytrip to Jiufen and Pingxi are worthwhile

Except for a few very small areas in the city, this is one of the safest places I've been to in the world. Walking around after dark, I feel much safer than in any North American city, whether I'm in the street or in public transport.

Lost wallet will come back to you. People more likely to talk to you to help you rather than to bother you. Very little homeless, you would only spot some in cities, but they are busy focusing on their lives rather than going out of their way to speak to a foreigner. Oh and amazing food
