Timișoara is a beautiful, quiet, and safe city. I often walk alone at night and have never had any problems—occasionally someone might call out a word or two, but nothing extreme. As with any destination, it’s still wise to take basic precautions. Enjoy it!
Posted: August 10, 2025I’ve lived here my whole life, and I’ve never been harassed or assaulted on the street or in public spaces. In general, people are decent and mind their own business. Like any city, it has its flaws, but overall, it feels safe, especially during the day and in central areas. As a local, I’ve always felt comfortable walking around, even alone and at night.
Posted: August 3, 2025Timisoara is so safe , I’ve been living in here for one year and I never worried about my safety in here . People are friendly and open . Even if it’s dark you can do whatever you want . Usually the streets are empty late in the night
Posted: July 2, 2025Timisoara is a very safe city! Just the usual minimum of attention for pick-pockets in agglomerated places. And not exaggerating in some suburbs. Anyway taking a cab is very affordable, even faster and nicer.
Posted: June 8, 2025I honestly wouldn't go out after 10 pm honestly. There are too many creepy guys on the street and u should be careful, and if u really want to go out at night, make sure you're with someone, AND NEVER ALONE!

Italy
I was in a hostel with people from argelia, turkish and other people from northern africa. At the beginning they seem nice but I stayed in a mixed dorm and in the morning the guy in the upper litter was jarking off, I told the receptionist to pit me in another room, they gave a solo room. One day I went for a running and a guyy stopped me in the street talking romanian and when I said I didn’t speak he said if I wanned to have sex with him, that he had big pennis, i left running the guy still repeating this, I didn’t find one police all the way back to the hostel, the few days I stay after this I notice guys harassing mice looking womens in the street telling them things and every time I tried to go visit some touristic place at least one guy would try to start a conversation put of nowhere. No, I didn’t feel safe here guys. Just to find out later that is one of the countries that allows LEGALLY for women to sell themselves for marriage. Ciao
