Lisbon

It very much depends on where you are at which time. Martim Moniz and Oriente are pretty safe during the day but at night they might be too dangerous to walk alone. Overall those are the roughest areas but if it's during the day you'll probably be fine :D

Vila do Bispo e Raposeira

I leave my house door open most of the winter time, in summer because of the amount of tourists and people that i dont know, i do close it, but that's it, i feel very safe everyone knows each other and people still do care for each other too :)

Ponta Delgada

A very tranquil city with a lot of tourist activity. It's just important to stay alert and not let your guard down completely in less busy areas. But in general, neither I nor the people I know have faced any complicated situations.

Aveiro

Since the city is small, it is really safe and you can walk or travel easily by yourself. People are helpful but in terms of ing. language you may have some problems when you talk to middle age and elderly people because they don't really know English. Besides, the city has really good beaches. You gonna love it.

It is really safe and the area that I live in is extremely safe too. I haven’t witnessed anything suspicious or more dangerous and I feel safe even walking around at night. The public transport is also safe

Portugal is considered one of the safest countries in the world. The most dangerous places are the big cities such as Lisbon, but I believe you’ll be fine if you take the normal precautions. I’m a local from Porto and I feel very safe in this town. However if you’re a tourist you should pay attention to scams and to where you put your wallet.

Lisbon

I've always lived in Lisbon and I've always felt safe. Obviously there are crazy people everywhere and you have to be careful, but in general, Lisbon is safe! At night the streets are almost always busy, in the places of greatest concentration, such as Cais do Sodré, Baixa Chiado, Santos, etc... and in the afternoon even more, with a lot of life

Setubal

Setúbal is a very beautiful and peaceful place. It's a beautiful city with nature, beaches, shopping centres and good restaurants. It has a very active neighbourhood, and I feel very safe walking around at any time of the day ♡

Lisbon

Generally safe, I did not feel like I had to worry much. As with all travel, general travel sensibilities apply. Keep your belongings safe, beware of pickpockets. Avoid wandering dark alleys at night as a solo female traveller. Do not purchase goods from strangers who approach you from the streets or alleys.

Faro

Pretty safe, maybe a couple of catcals from drunk men here and there, but usually people just leave you alone :)) Most people are super friendly and chatty. Public transport can be a bit expensive (the bus), but is super safe

Coimbra, Solo travel

I went to Coimbra 2 days ago and i can tell that Coimbra is one of the best cities in Portugal. The streets, culture, songs, buildings, and the view of the river were amazing. University is one of the oldest Unis. and did you know J.K Rowling was inspired of this University to write Harry Potter? I had so much fun. Besides it was quite safe. I liked almost every corner of the city.
