Lisbon is a safe city overall. You can enjoy the night without problems, but is always necessary to pay attention to pickpockets (they are not Portuguese, they travel here from other countries). You can party with no problems.
Posted: August 11, 2025I’m aware of some robbery activities, even during day - that’s not pickpocketing. Lately a lot of antisemitic graffiti on the walls but looks like it mostly comes from the immigrants or students. A lot of homeless people are sleeping outside.

As a small town, the locals are genuinely friendly and full of smiles. Women greet each other warmly, creating a welcoming and safe atmosphere. The city has a cozy, sunny vibe, perfect for relaxed, authentic travel experiences :)

Very safe, but only been here for a short time. My room mates who have lived here for several years have said that it is very safe, and they have had no issues walking alone at night, but it’s always better to be safe and walk with someone if you can.

I felt so safe! But honestly could’ve done 2 nights instead of 3 (unless you want to do the Douro valley tour). It was sooo crowded. Go to jardim de morro for sunset. If you’re solo traveling you can do a walking tour or wine tour to meet people.
