It is pretty safe though. However, steer clear from certain people who would want to be super friendly. People may pass judgements but it should not bother you. I have been here for 7 years now. I like the place but you have to be careful at certain places at the evening time.
Posted: December 30, 2024It’s fairly safe in terms of mirder and kidnapping. I would say, robbery does happen and so does cat calling happen sometimes specially in the dark. The city is fairly active till 10pm after that it can get very silent and a bit uncomfortable in the rural areas.
Posted: December 24, 2024Guwahati is a fairly safe city but with recent experiences, it’s a bit hard to say. I’m a local here and have always felt okay but India is a developing country so we can only hope it gets better. I hope my city continues to be safe.
