Dehradun is comparatively a lot safer than a lot of places in India. I’ve lived here for 2 years now and I’ve traveled within the city alone a lot, even after dark. Whether by walking or by local transport, I have never been attacked or harassed although I have been catcalled quite a few times but nothing worse than that
