How safe is Aarhus?

Danes are very no problematic. Their culture is based on trust and you can feel it in the society. My only worry is the immigrants as sometimes they demonstrate behaviors not so typical for danish culture. But it happens only in the outskirts where there are big neighborhoods mostly inhabited by imigrants

Aarhus is a very safe city with empathetic and helpful people. I am never afraid to walk in the streets at any time of the day, and public transportation is safe. Theft doesn’t happen often, and people are helpful.

especially the centre feels really safe. I think it's common for Denmark, but people trust each other, so I'm not scared of being rubbed or attacked. You can also leave e.g. jackets and bags unattended. Also, I barely experienced catcalling here.

Aarhus is a very safe place, both at day, also by night. You can go clubbing and still be very safe, just take care like usual, but you can go out even just as a girl. It’s very easy to contact the police if anything would happen and there are always people nearby to help

Denmark, especially Aarhus, is super safe. Only place I would avoid at night is botanical garden in Aarhus. Most likely the drunks are the only one approaching you. Danish men are overall respectful and catcalling etc. isn’t in our culture. Off course thing happens but I will assure you that you likely won’t have a problem. Very Rarely women are attacked randomly and we all walk and bike everywhere. Crimes against women In Denmark are most of the times by someone they already know.

I’d say that generally, it is quite safe, but If you are a person who doesn’t like when people cross your boundaries - be ready for a heated conflict. It already happened to me a few times when I tried to correct the behavior of some people in public and got beat up haha! don’t go to tilst, brabrand, viby, or åbyhøj alone during the night. it’s a hell

Aarhus, like most Danish cities, is an extremely safe place. It consists of many students but also people of all ages. When I lived closer to the city center, I would walk home from the bars. I haven’t ever felt unsafe anywhere I lived and cat-calling happens very rarely. The only thing that is not safe here is your bike, but it is what is😂

Aarhus is where I live when I'm not travelling. It's Denmark's 2nd biggest city and very safe and cozy. Everything can be reached by bike and have a compact city center. I have lived here for 3+ years and love it. Close to the sea and Forrest 🙏🏼

Aarhus is a safe city for female solo travellers. It’s a student city with a lot of young people and internationals enjoying all kinds of activities and communities here. Generally Danish people are polite, open, and welcoming but may take some time to break the ice.

Is Aarhus worth visiting?

Family travel

It was pretty safe, it's a cute charming calm city. I recommend the deer park to the south of the city, with the beach next door it's a great walk. The museum not to be missed is the ARoS museum, a museum of contemporary and classical art visible from all over the city with its rainbow panorama. And don't forget to pass by the nice latin neighborhood.

Aarhus is a very cute city with something for everyone. It’s a very cultural city where you get a good insight into the danish everyday life. I was there during the AARHUS FESTUGE which is a week of cultural activity such as concerts and events
