Vejle is a chill city. Very safe during the day and most people keep to themselves. The night life is active on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays. Most people are respectful, but it is always best to go with a friend.

I feel really safe walking around even at night, but i would still prefer being more than one at night. At daytime there is not any concerns at all! You can even let you things stay for example at the beach without worrying about someone stealing your stuff.
