Overall, if you are out in town on a weekend, the chance of getting harassed by the dunk party goers is the same as anywhere else in the world. There are some neighbourhoods that are less friendly, but they are located outside of the centrum and it's residential areas, so you wouldn't go there any way. I feel safe when walking in the night. I have done it several times and have never had a problem.

Odense is overall a safe city i would say. The city has had a focus on being very family friendly and with that comes a bit of safety too. There is the chance of running in to the occasional douchebag when going out, but drinks being spiked is super rare and i dont remember hearing about for the last many years. The very few instances where i have seen women being heckled on the street or in public transportation, there is allways multiple people stepping in to help.
Posted: July 15, 2024Denmark is in general a quite safe country and I think that also has to do with the really good social system here. I am not afraid about being a woman alone in the night, drunk danish men can be quite annoying sometimes in the night on the streets, but if I compare it to other cities, it is much less and in most cases not border crossing, but still it can be( I didn’t experience it myself but I heard about border crossing drunk strangers).
