In copenhagen it really depends on the area. Generally everywhere is safe in daylight, and at night the citycenter is pretty safe because of the sheer number of people. As long as you use common sense at night then you should be fine: walk with a friend and on busy and well lit streets. And if you take transport then sit in the most filled part of the train. Just keep where other people (women) are.
Posted: July 6, 2025I live in Aarhus, a beautiful and very safe city in Denmark. The streets are peaceful and it’s easy to walk around anytime, even alone at night. I feel comfortable and secure here, which makes it a great place for solo living or traveling. The community is friendly, and there are plenty of cozy cafés, parks, and cultural spots to enjoy without worries.

Very safe. In the centre of aarhus I almost never feel unsafe and when I don't feel safe it's because there's a large group of drunk people who might be shouting but 9/10 times they don't approach you if you don't approach them.

Trekroner is like coming home after a long day after work. There's a lot of young people around, cause the university of Roskilde is max 10 minutes away. The only complaint is a lot of parties 😂. You can easily raid a family in Trekroner or have friends over without worrying

Copenhagen is a very safe city. Men can be inappropriate when drunk. But that’s about it. People are drunk in the street though. There’s always people in the street, lot’s of tourists and people are friendly.

It's actually a very calm city compared to bigger ones. I live close to the center, so I can sometimes om the weekends hear a few people walking outside and talking, a bit drunk as they walk from one bar to another, but nothing bad. I don't really go partying, so I don't know how that would be, but usually, even that is pretty calm and uneventful as most people stick to their own group and remain polite. Personally, I've not yet had a bad experience here with people. I also live on the 4th floor, so it's very safe for me

I felt save walking here. I have been to aalborg, randers, odense and kopenhagen. Food was expensive but worth it. There are a lot of things you can do. I have met amazing people there. There are a lot op museums you can visite and some are even free.
Posted: July 1, 2025I felt very safe my whole stay. We came by car, so I can't give details about the transportation. The food was delicious and grocery shopping wasn't that expensive. If you like nature and some quiet time, I'd recommend the island Manø, which is very beatiful with some really cool things to do, such as a trip to see seals.
