I do cycle past at night, and always without problems. The worry is to not have bike lights on so to not get a fine from police! I do only attend specific nightlife events, that are generally better. But I know that men in the city can be too drunk and hit on you. Unnecessary!! So perhaps there would be a worry of sa in bar/club contexts and late hour nights on weekends. But generally it’s manageable

Denmark is a country where people trust authorities and the system to take care of it’s people. And it often excels. Danish people are reserved and not as aggressive or obviously flirting as in the glibal south. However, there is a huge drinking culture, where “people let loose”. Young Danish people have the global record in alcohol use.

This city is for old people, it’s so safe because there isn’t anyone to even stare at you. Walking around town at 3 A.M. or 2 P.M. won’t matter because it’ll feel the same. Everything closes early (7-9 P.M.) so no one goes out either.
Posted: August 27, 2025There's always people around, especially in the city center. It's super safe to take public transport, even at night. I grew up in the suburbs, so I have always had to take the bus or train home if I were out late, and I never experienced anything even moderately uncomfortable. That said, I am a six foot tall woman, so I am about the same height as an average Danish man, and that obviously makes a difference in who I find intimidating.
Posted: August 23, 2025I would say Copenhagen is overall safe. I’ve never experienced something uncomfortable, like being touch or anything like that I public transport. And I only once experienced a drunk man, being a bit too much, as he kept trying to talk too me, but some other men told him to leave me alone. I feel safe walking on the streets no matter time, but of course there certain places you should avoid at dark.

Felt really safe, the locals helped me install their public transport app (great for moving around, don’t rely on others like google maps), the city was cold but wonderful, people were really friendly and polite, and food was comfortable, soothing. The nature is well preserved and litter is rarely seen on the road.
