Very safe. You can walk alone at night, take the bus without being harassed. People are just minding their own business. Denmark is a safe country especially Jutland. Taxis is also safe but expensive

It is a very safe place. You can ask anyone and they will help you. People might seem shy and like they only care about themselves especially in public transport. However if needed they will help you or advice you

Aarhus is where I live when I'm not travelling. It's Denmark's 2nd biggest city and very safe and cozy. Everything can be reached by bike and have a compact city center. I have lived here for 3+ years and love it. Close to the sea and Forrest 🙏🏼

Aalborg is a safe city, with well lit areas and a well-functioning, clean and frequent public transit system. The inner city is is manageable both on foot and bycicle and is bustling and populated even during late hours. At the heart of the city, there is a party street, Jomfru Ane Gade lined with pubs, clubs and restaurants, where police are often present along with a safe house and volunteers patrolling the streets and making sure everyone makes it home safe. There is generally a high level of trust and people are willing to help each other.

Overall a very safe country for women of all ages to live and travel to. You are free to dress as you like, and going out in public even after dark is safe. Like in all countries women can become a victim to crime. But it would most likely be from a person you know and not a stranger.

It is a fairly safe country. Women can walk around as they please. There are allways the odd catcalling, but not in a scary way (just ask the person to shut up :) As in most countries a woman can be attacked but it is almost allways by someone they know, and seldom a stranger.

Aars is a very small town, so it's generally very safe. There is not much of a night life here. It's mainly young families and pensioners in the town. The town center is very small, not so many people around.

Very safe in general. Of course things happen, but it's less common. People don't smile so much or talk to strangers, but we are still friendly and helpful. Going out is overall safe too. Just don't leave your drink and be careful as you normally would. Areas I would be a bit more careful around is central station, Nørrebro and Christania (only because of the pushers).
Posted: October 28, 2024Copenhagen is generally safe. Just apply common sense like in all other big cities. Of course there are areas that are not as nice as others, but overall I have always felt safe in Copenhagen, and I've lived here almost my entire life.

Cph is the Capital of Denmark and a very safe place to be. The only thing I would be worried about is being catcalled in the nightlife, that could happen, but often it is a very safe place to be - Enjoy!

Copenhagen was always a bucket list city for me, and as one of my first soli travel destinations I really enjoyed it! I stayed at NextHouse Copenhagen, which was a lot fancier (and priced accordingly) than hostels I was used to in other cities. Had I found a cheaper alternative, NextHouse would probably not have been my first choice, but it is an excellent “luxury hostel” that offers a very social atmosphere, group events, lots of in-house entertainment (gym, games, social nights) and is very accessible to the center of the city. The highlights of my stay were exploring Freetown Christiania (free) and visiting the Museum of Architecture (6€ entry). I recommend trying some local food as well, I know Nordic food often gets a bad rap in terms of blandness but Danish food offers lovely variations on pickled & preserved fish/veggies.
Posted: September 17, 2024I went to Copenaghen in March 2024, i went there to meet a friend i was staying a bit out of Copenaghen (20mns by train) i walked alone in this little city in the morning and was fully safe, i visited the city with him and my 2 other female friends, we also went alone a couple of times and always felt safe, it was easy to move around and everyone speak even a little bit of English. We all had a lot of fun!

Malou-Cheanne
Hello, My name is Malou-Cheanne and I'm a 28 year old woman from Denmark. I love to travel and Explore the world but as I often don't have anyone to go with, I end up solo travelling. So far I have only been to places I know but I want to push my boundaries and Explore more places. I would also love to meet other travellers around the world, share experiences and help making solo travelling safer.
