Is Denmark safe for solo female travelers?

Denmark is a remarkably safe destination for solo female travelers. The crime rate is very low and locals are renowned for their friendliness and helpfulness. There's an excellent public transportation system which functions efficiently even late at night, and it's generally safe for women to walk alone. However, as with any travel, keep basic precautions in mind like avoiding less crowded areas during late hours and not displaying your valuables publicly.

Copenhagen, Couple travel

Beautiful area, many cultural experiences, and delicious food. It was a pricey area and didn't have much for activities. I like adventure and a boat ride is about as much adventure as possible here. Worth a day visit.

Copenhagen was one of the most vibrant and fun cities I've ever seen. In the mornings, like other tourists, we explored the surroundings, and in the evenings, the streets were a different kind of entertainment. The food was fantastic.

Spontaneous hitchhiking trip to Denmark! It was random idea from my friend, so we met in Prague and the travel from highway to border of Denmark took us 11 hours! We met friends at island Romo, slept at the sea in our sleepbags few hours after we join some danish party near the coast, drank Czech beer in the Kolding, went for a midnight ride on bicycles to the beach, were afraid about our lives in some hitchhiked cars…and much more. Hahah but still I am really recommending this kind of trip

Copenhagen, Solo travel

I guess the most expensive city in all around the Europe but so delicious food, good music, happy and kind people. December was very cold. Don’t forget to make your Lego and go to Tivoli gardens. City is very safe and walkable.

Copenhagen, Solo travel

A very safe and clean and BEAUTIFUL city. I felt completely at ease here. Some fantastic food options if fine dining is your thing. Tivoli Gardens is wonderful to visit - and if you can head up the coast to see the castle it’s worth the trip! Highly recommend.

Copenhagen

I wouldn't go through an empty park in the dark, but if there are others, then I wouldn't worry. It's a very safe, rich and chill city. Nothing has ever happened to me Take care of pickpockets around main attractions.

Copenhagen

Honestly no issues at all, unless they are Swedish :/ Feels very safe at night and police respond quickly, there are safety guides in the nightlife as well. So if you want a hug or something they got you

Slagelse

It’s so safe that I have walk home alone from a night out in complete darkness without being scared. But we do have ghettos, so you should still be careful. Though I would say that the are pretty harmless, if you stay in your own business

Svendborg

Whenever I go to a café, I just leave my laptop out when usund the toilet or such. Also it is very common for people to leave their strollers (with their baby inside) outside alone. I’ve lived here my whole life and never felt unsafe - not even when going out alone at night.

Copenhagen

Copenhagen is safe in general (compared to other places), also for women and queer people, tho unfortunately with well known some precautions. During night time in the city center (KBH K) it tend to get uncomfortable and unsafe because men sometimes harass you, fx if you walk alone towards Nørreport, Kongens Nytorv or the central station. Some Danish people have a tendency to feel entitled to your attention, can get way too handsy in the clubs and take rejections hard. Again safe, as in mostly but with the dash of douchebag finance bros. I still definitely send location and have a friend...
