How safe is Pula?

Nikolina

Nikolina

Pula is a small city that is bustling with people in the summer, but in winter, you experience the true reality of this place: peace and quiet without crowds or events. It's quite a safe city, so much so that you don't even need to lock your house. Of course, I always pay attention to where I’m going and at what time, but that’s just my nature. Better to be safe than sorry.

Is Pula worth visiting?

Solo travel

Beautiful beaches, the citadel is so beautiful as well. Very sunny and amazing city. The people there are super friendly and will randomly say hi to you on the street. Very safe even for a solo female traveller.

Group travel

I was in Pula for 7 days and I fall in love. It was easy to get around with the city bus and the tickets were cheap. I would definitely recommend a beach called “Galebove stijene”. You would have to use taxi to get to the location because its a bit further away that the rest of the beaches, but it is so worth it. At night, we would usually hang out in this square park thing next to the sea and it was beautiful. If you are trying to be extra budget friendly, try out their bakeries. They are really good and cheap way to eat out.
