It is a very safe city. There are a lot of students studying at night so even at night this place is very safe. Uptown, sometimes there are some drunk people but the police system is very good. Overall the city is clean and safe for women
Posted: July 14, 2025Pretty chill place, I don’t get out much though. I would say it’s your average smaller city in terms of crime or whatever. A couple universities so lots of young people.
Posted: January 9, 2025It is pretty safe place with a lot of student. Public transport is super safe. But Waterloo is almost not walkable at all. There are nice places to visit downtown as well as parks. Overall I would say it is quite safe but boring
Posted: June 20, 2024Quite safe, but should still be careful, especially at night. I can pass as looking like a man so I don’t usually feel worried at all. But there has been cases of things happening. It’s usually the people who look homeless/severe mental illness that you should keep an eye out for.
Posted: June 16, 2024Pretty safe, I don’t find myself worried about being attacked. Obviously you still need to be careful but that is the same anywhere . Just make sure you are aware of your surroundings and take the proper precautions.
