Pretty chill place, I don’t get out much though. I would say it’s your average smaller city in terms of crime or whatever. A couple universities so lots of young people.
Posted: January 9, 2025It is pretty safe place with a lot of student. Public transport is super safe. But Waterloo is almost not walkable at all. There are nice places to visit downtown as well as parks. Overall I would say it is quite safe but boring
Posted: June 20, 2024Quite safe, but should still be careful, especially at night. I can pass as looking like a man so I don’t usually feel worried at all. But there has been cases of things happening. It’s usually the people who look homeless/severe mental illness that you should keep an eye out for.
Posted: June 16, 2024Pretty safe, I don’t find myself worried about being attacked. Obviously you still need to be careful but that is the same anywhere . Just make sure you are aware of your surroundings and take the proper precautions.
