Heloooo Hi! My name is May, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Hospitality and Tourism Management. I grew up in Toronto but I’ve always been curious about the world and different ways of living, which is why I love traveling. I grew up helping in my family’s restaurant from a young age, which taught me a lot about hospitality, hard work, and connecting with people. Because of that, I’m very comfortable adapting to new environments and meeting people from different backgrounds. I’ve been lucky to travel to a few places already, including Egypt, Ireland, Malaysia, Japan, and China, and I recently spent time studying in Kosovo. Experiences like that made me realize how much I enjoy learning about cultures, food, and everyday life in different countries. I’m someone who is very positive, curious, and open to new experiences. I love animals, nature, good food, and meaningful conversations. I’m also really interested in sustainability, farms, and learning practical skills that connect people more to the land and where their food comes from.

Vancouver is extremely expensive offering very little in return. The hotels cost arm and leg and are very basic. The food super expensive and also basic + tip is expected even though the food is already extremely overpriced. Vancouver was my first time in life when I actually was scared to death during travel because walking very close to the main attractions - the steaming clock and the chinatown I suddenly came across a full city of zombies on drugs!!!
