Just your regular Canadian Dirtbabe, feral introvert. I enjoy connecting through shared experiences, swimming, hikes, camping, good food, and live music! Nature is my medicine, also where I source a lot of food. I spend a lot of time searching out fresh Springs and hot Springs. I like to exit society for extended periods of time in the forest.

Heloooo Hi! My name is May, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Hospitality and Tourism Management. I grew up in Toronto but I’ve always been curious about the world and different ways of living, which is why I love traveling. I grew up helping in my family’s restaurant from a young age, which taught me a lot about hospitality, hard work, and connecting with people. Because of that, I’m very comfortable adapting to new environments and meeting people from different backgrounds. I’ve been lucky to travel to a few places already, including Egypt, Ireland, Malaysia, Japan, and China, and I recently spent time studying in Kosovo. Experiences like that made me realize how much I enjoy learning about cultures, food, and everyday life in different countries. I’m someone who is very positive, curious, and open to new experiences. I love animals, nature, good food (especially steak), and meaningful conversations. I’m also really interested in sustainability, farms, and learning practical skills that connect people more to the land and where their food comes from.

Indigenous to the Great Lakes of North America. Bear Clan. Thunderbird Clan. Nokomis / Grandmother. My Ancestors are from the Odewa Nation (people of the heart aka Ottawa like Canada’s capital), Ojibwe Nation, Potawatomi Nation. My first language is Odewa & Ojibwe & Potawatomi. Daughter of an Indian Residential School survivor. The ripple effect was genocidal but I’m fighting every day to honor my Ancestors. Nearing retirement and time to explore other lands and cultures.

I enjoy both relaxing beach trips and discovering places rich in history. Museums, churches, impressive architecture, beautiful views, and great food are must-haves for me. When I travel, I really like to experience a place—discovering the local culture and taking the time to observe and understand. I’m here to share meaningful travel experiences, with respect and good vibes!

I am a free spirited woman who loves to travel and meet new friends from around the globe. I truly believe that our world is so small in its vastness. People share more similarities than we initially think, so we should appreciate our differences because they bring something new to the table. I love learning about new things and Couchsurfing gives you the most beautiful opportunities to learn about new people. Some of my best travel memories have been by staying with a local, or hosting. For example, when I stayed in Lille, France, I arrived on a Thursday and my host was going to their community hall cultural dance and invited my friend and I to join in. So that night I got to learn old French line dancing. I could have never experienced this if I didn’t stay with a local. That’s why, when I travel, I try to stay with as many locals, so I can have some more genuine connections while traveling. I am very respectful and friendly and I can’t wait to make more friends in new places 🤍✈️

My three kids are mostly grown (15,17,19) and it's time for some adventures. My husband recently said to me that his ideal vacation would be to stay home for a week...and I want him to have that- but I like an adventure. I like to garden (mostly flowers now days) I do fundraisers for random things, and I ....Geez....this is actually a hard question. I suppose I'm figuring that out again. For a verrrry long time all I was about was my kids! I'm looking forward to helping my oldest move to Toronto this summer for an internship, flying to Dallas for the Vex World Competition with my son 🤞 and a four week trip to Japan with my 15 year old daughter.

Hi fellow travellers! I’m an easygoing introvert living in one of the most beautiful cities in the country. I love to travel, laugh, eat good food, and learn about people from all over the world. I work from home as a freelance administrator and clothing tailor, and have many hobbies: sewing, cooking, gardening, watching movies (I love horror and world cinema), playing video games, dancing, crafting, hula hooping, reading/writing, DIY… the full ADHD experience. I live with my husband of 15 years and our little pug in a housing co-operative. I am currently learning Romanian with plans to visit in May 2027.

Went for a Christmas vacation with family and it was delightful. The Victorian architecture was beautiful and the highlight of the trip was definitely the Butchart Gardens. It was decorated with lights for the holidays and it was a great time despite heavy rainfall that day
