Hi ! Tris trip was amazing ! I feel safe everywhere I went. My favorite activity of this trip: the Golden Pass. This train takes us miles through the heart of the mountains and takes us to equally magnificent destinations đ I decided to take a second train and visit Spiez, my favorite town to date đ„° Public transportation is really efficient and clean, but is rather expensive (the price depends on the journey time). I stayed in Les Avants, a small village above Montreux. It was very quiet and relaxing. I went to Sonloup by cable car where I took a wonderful walk in the forest in the mountains. The views were spectacular. I also went to Montreux, where I walked along Lake Geneva to Chillon Castle. This castle is really nice to visit and is in a truly magnificent setting. I also went to Lausanne, but I don't recommend it. Except for the lake, I didn't find it very beautiful. There you go, I hope this experience inspires or helps you! âšïž
Posted: May 6, 2025Experienced: December, 2023We felt safe, but too expensive. I shocked because of public transport. If you are a group you can prefer uber. Because we did like that. Anyway we had unforgettable memories. Racket and cheese fondue is my favoriteeee

Jâadore Switzerland!! I felt super safe. Loved eating Fondue. I went to GenevĂ©. I stayed in Starling Hotel Lausanne. Also highly recommend going to Gstaad. I went to Cailerâs chocolate factory in the country, CERN, MusĂ©e Olympique, Lac LĂ©man Cruise, Chaplinâs World, Indian Zayeka, EHL Hospitality Business School, Palais des Nations.
Posted: April 29, 2025I traveled to Locarno with my boyfriend. We camped there for three or four days. The town looked very beautiful. We also went to restaurants occasionally. We often cooked and ate in our tent or brought food with us. Since it was a low-budget vacationâwe're both students and have to watch our financesâwe didn't do much. We mostly walked around town, hiked, and swam in the lake. It was a very pleasant vacation.
Posted: April 11, 2025Switzerland may be one of the safest countries I've been to, I think it's very safe for women. Zurich was very nice but I couldn't find much to do in the winter, it's still peaceful and beautiful, ideal for a 2-3 day trip. I don't think they have very good food, food and accommodation are extremely expensive.
Posted: March 31, 2025Experienced: January, 2025Definitely do a hike to Trummelbach - it's flat valley floor with stunning landscape! Consider going up to Murren valley. There's a cable car that starts from there to Schilthorn. Visit the Stubbach falls right next to the station
Posted: March 19, 2025Experienced: January, 2025Lausanne is a clean and safe but unnecessarily expensive city. There are a couple museums that are free (or cheap) for people under 25 so it makes up for the cost of living ! I would recommend the Rumine Palace.
Posted: March 11, 2025I was on an internship there. I went solo hiking and also night running and I felt pretty safe even at night. The country is gorgeous! Such beautiful nature, definitely recommend to go somewhere on a hike.
Posted: March 9, 2025Really safe for females and solo travellers who travel like local and surrounded by genuine nature, the weather is perfect to enjoy an adventurous outdoor activities like picnicking , hiking, strolling. Local pastries and foods are worth to eat I might probably one of the lucky person that I met a local who is frankly amiable and share her experience as a urban guide which an expensive experience and we still keep in touch.

During my stay in Bern I felt fairly save except in a few dark parks at night. The city isnât too big, you can definitely see it in one or two days. Itâs surrounded by a river with an amazing view, theres a few sights and museums, I can also recommend the animal park/zoo in the south. Old town is cute, I liked that it had giant chess boards and other games on the piazzas to play with strangers or friends. Price, well itâs Switzerland itâs expensive. All in all cute city, also has good public transportation as far as I could tell! :)

The people are very nice and friendly. I would say, it is very safe. I have lived in Winterthur my whole life and nothing bad happend to me during this time. I always drove with my bicycle to the city and back when I was going out, and it was no problem at all.
Posted: May 9, 2025Geneva doesn't have a lot of bad/unsafe neighbourhood, especially on the left side. The only not so well known would be around PĂąquis/Charmilles and out of the city, but these places are still quite calm. Unfortunately, the amount of drug addicts walking publicly is rising, which would be my highest worry. Overall, I'd say it's more than quite safe.
