Is Krakow Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

It was really safe as two women with my friend. We really liked how people minded their own business the whole time lol. You can see ancient places, if you like museums a lot(especially aviation) I recommend you to go see Kraków. We went there by train from Rzeszów for just 20 zł as students! Highly recommend!!!!!

I only stayed in Krakow for 1 night bit I had a great city tour, it was really nice as the sun was going down. I stayd in a hostel wich was very clean and I felt pretty safe as well. Also think that Krakow is quite budget friendly!

Solo travel

I spent very little money. I flew to Katowice and then took the transportation from the airport to Krakow city where I stayed overnight in a hostel for two nights. I attended a free walking tour that was very interesting and booked the visit in the salt mines, something amazing!

Couple travel

Krakow is a really nice city to do all kinds of stuff from laying on the beach ( you should visit zakrzówek) to going clubbing (just go to the old town there is a lot of pubs and clubs) You should try "obwarzanek" and pierogis. If you have a lot of time you can go to polish Mountain (zakopane) or visit some historical places like aushitz-birkenau.

Krakow! My heart goes out to you! 🫶🏼 What a magical experience. It honestly felt like waking up to Narnia everyday. The food was incredible. People can seem rude as hell, but I don’t mind it because once you talk with them they are such a joy! I visited Auschwitz and Birkenau and anyone should go. We also got “scammed” or fell in a tourist trap by following some shiny lights to a game arcade. I had to buy new winter boots because my shoes got drenched by all the snow. And I love the shoes so much. I can’t really list all the things I did while visiting. But I would do it all again and I will return.

I really liked this town and I'm dreaming every day to come back and walk those streets again. This city is a dream come true tbh, the views, food and attractions are ON THE TOP, literally. Breads similar to bagels, called obważanki are amazing.

Krakow was my first solo trip ever and I’ve had half a day to explore the city between my flight connection to Aarhus. It turned out to be not as scary as I expected and although I was too petty to stay in the hotel for only 5 hours and decided to sleep on a bench in an airport, before, I had plenty of time to roam around and see AMAZING places. The thing I liked the most was the mix of old historical and contemporary architecture. Then goes the safety overall, I not one single time felt unsafe or tried to put my phone deeper in my pocket haha :). The prices were slightly lower than in Denmark, where I live right now. Overall, I underestimated Poland and next time I will go to (maybe?) Warsaw with my architect-student boyfriend to explore different corners of this beautiful country together! 🤟

I really like my time there, although when I try to call an Uber, they had the option “just for woman” that made me feel a little unsafe, because I never seen that option before, so it means something happen there! Then I ask for more details and it really had happened some cases of abuse to girls! But besides that, really loved everything and nothing happened to me

Krakow is a very nice city, I stayed in Bubble Hostel and i felt very safe, even though it was my first solo trip. Near Krakow it has many interesting activities and venues to see! I visited the salt mine and the Auschwitz camp. The salt mine was 100 zloty, which is not expensive and the Auschwitz camp was free without a guide. Also the old town is very pretty and is walkable! You should definitely visit the Wawel castle but be sure to have a lot of time ahead of you because it's huge!! Overall the experience was really good and I would recommend it for budget travelling! 😊

I spent a day in Krakow, and it was quite an experience. The highlight was visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mine. The underground tunnels and chambers carved from salt were fascinating, especially the Chapel of St. Kinga with its detailed salt sculptures and chandeliers. After the mine, I walked around Krakow. The city’s architecture is stunning. The Wawel Castle by the Vistula River and the medieval buildings in the Old Town, especially around the Main Market Square and St. Mary’s Basilica, were impressive and beautiful. However, I wasn’t a fan of the local food. It was too heavy and greasy for my taste. The service in restaurants was also disappointing—slow and inattentive.

It’s a very safe city and very clean. Beautiful city with nice buildings lots of food options. Going to the clubs are very safe, transportation is very good and affordable. Must visit

Kraków is a very safe place, I live here for 4 years now and always feel safe taking night walks or coming back home late :) of course you have to pay attention, but its just as any other big city
