Is Salt Lake City safe for solo female travelers?

Salt Lake City, as the capital of Utah, is generally safe for solo female travelers. Like with any other large city, districts vary in safety, but most tourist areas are well-secured. Consistent vigilance is advised, especially at night and in less crowded areas. Public transport is largely safe as well. Locals are friendly and helpful, often willing to assist if you get lost or need help.

How safe is Salt Lake City for solo female travelers?

Solo travel

I really enjoyed Salt Lake City. The city is quite transparent and extremely clean, with beautiful views of the mountains and hiking trails, as well as plenty of people walking around and spending time in their own ways.

For america, its very safe for a big city. I feel much less on guard than I did growing up in LA. I still have my woman safety senses on alert, but I feel more relaxed. I walk around alone, ride the train, alone, walk to work, walk the downtown area alone. Its very safe.

Pretty safe in salt lake if you go out late downtown salt lake just be safe and be aware of your surroundings like any other place you visit. If you visit the mountains bring plenty of water research the hike on how difficult and long don’t want to hike in the dark. Be aware of animal in the mountains there are mountain lions and moose and bears so if hiking alone by proper safety stuff

Salt Lake City and other parts of Utah and actually really safe. Public transportation is very clean and well maintained. There are some parts of Salt Lake City where there is more homeless and crime but nothing major and if you stay away from there you’ll be ok People are super nice and friendly and very religious

Salt Lake is overall pretty safe, people are respectful and mostly keep to themselves. I’m from here and have mostly all good interactions with strangers in the event of needing help or direction. I feel safe going places/doing things alone!

About me

Hii! Im Elizabeth. I go by Elizabeth or lizard 🦎. Im 29 soon to be 30 and newly married to my hub, sean. Im from L.A county and moved because you cant save money in cali. I have adhd and I am very energetic and extroverted and im down for many things. I dont enjoy drinking though so if your personality is barhopping I fear youd go alone as those environments stress me out. But ill go dance! I love nature, boba, asain food, ice cream, book, walks, train rides, music, and more. Ive traveled a lot in the last 2 years. Travel has helped me heal so many internal scars and I think its so important for those who can, to do so. Theres so much to see and I live on only a sand grains portion of earth. Im down to thrift or stay home and bake cookies and Im a huge cat lady. I have 2 fur sons names lucky and yoda. I would love to exchange culture and travel stories, recipes, ect. Connections made while traveling is arguably the best part of the trip. I cant wait to meet you all :)
