Hi I'm Mel- I have 4 kids, one lives in LA, one is in College, and two are in High School! I own my house and work for a renewable energy company. I have coached Jr high and high school sports, raced mountain bikes and currently love my BMW motorcycle. I have been everywhere local and love to host guests. Have lived in Utah for 12 years now but before that lived in California, Illinois, and Virginia. I have a girlfriend of 3.5 years but we live in separate houses!

I’m mostly a slow traveler. I like to stay in one place for 3+ months I have lived in Brazil, Turkey, Italy, England, Thailand, Vietnam and Switzerland and visited dozens more. I enjoy lazy hiking, photography, trying new foods and restaurants, reading, writing, movies, and learning languages.

Is Salt Lake City safe for female travelers?
Solo travel
I really enjoyed Salt Lake City. The city is quite transparent and extremely clean, with beautiful views of the mountains and hiking trails, as well as plenty of people walking around and spending time in their own ways.
