Solo travel

I went alone. I stopped on the first avenue and felt very safe. I went to various bars and listened to different types of performances. I would recommend a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry for a show, and the Ryman for a tour.

Nashville has it’s good areas and bad areas as much as any big city. When drinking in bars always keep a close eye on drinks as roofies are becoming a prominent issue in Nashville. Walking in public crowded areas is moderately safe. Being alone in parking garages, alleyways, and parking lots are discouraged. Car break ins are fairly common in high crime areas. As a tourist I would stick to Broadway, and recommend spots by locals.

Nashville is very safe in the day. Would definitely recommend staying in more public areas after dark but still very safe. My neighborhood is quite safe to stay in but again I would walk with a friend if walking at night just for safety
