Super safe, friendly and historic city with 2 shopping malls, a castle, cathedral and plenty to do and see. Public transport is fairly regular and gets you to and from the major places in the city. Never had a problem

Norwich is known for being a safe city. I think you need your whits about you when in any city in the UK, but crime rates are relatively low here and I tend to feel safe walking on my own (even in the dark).

I’ve lived here and attended university here. I can confidently say that Norwich is a VERY safe city. The crime rate is very low and the police are very involved (especially down the club street). When you get off the train station well you have the club street with a couple bars and clubs, and a few strip clubs. Although you can get the rare homeless person that may approach you for change, it’s a safe street. All of the nightclub staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve walked alone at night lots of times and felt completely safe in the city. Buses are frequent and cheap (£2 each).
