Brighton's thriving nightlife, broad range of restaurants, extensive shopping opportunities, and famous Brighton Palace Pier ensure the city is a perennial favourite with tourists.

Brighton is generally very safe for solo female travelers. The crime rate is low compared to other cities and locals are generally quite welcoming. Traveling around the city is relatively safe, even at night thanks to well-lit streets and reliable public transportation. However, like any city, it's important to be aware of your surroundings and keep personal belongings secure as minor crimes like pickpocketing can occur in busy touristic areas.

Brighton is a walkable city with most attractions located at the city centre. The lanes are a popular area to explore by foot. There are also plenty of options for public transportation such as buses and trains. Although navigating the city is generally easy, it can get a bit confusing in the narrow lanes which may pull down the ease slightly.

Brighton, UK is a vibrant and culturally rich destination that offers a range of activities suited to various tastes. It's famous for its architecture, with the iconic Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion being must-visit spots. There are also plenty of artsy boutiques, vintage shops and independent cafes in The Lanes, which is perfect for those interested in shopping and food. The city also boasts a beautiful pebble beach where you can just relax and watch the world go by. Despite it’s relatively small size, there's always something to do or explore in this colorful seaside city.

Food:Above average

Brighton offers a vast array of culinary delights. Its food scene is highly diverse, encompassing a wide range of cuisines from around the globe. This coastal city is particularly renowned for its fresh and sustainably sourced seafood. Aside from that, vegan and vegetarian options are also quite substantial, reflecting the city's progressive values. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 is due to the varying quality across the board. Nevertheless, there are plenty of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

Budget:Moderate

Brighton offers a decent mix of budget-friendly and higher-end options. For example, meals, attractions and public transportation are reasonably priced. However, accommodation could be a bit pricey, especially during peak season. It's possible to have a comfortable stay without breaking the bank, provided that you plan smartly.

Solo travel experience

I went to Brighton alone and I can say that I felt quite safe there. There are many bright lights at night, from the station to the beach. North Laine was my favorite area, there are many cool shops there. I would also recommend the restaurant "We love falafel", absolutely amazing food.
