Posted: December 5, 2025Experienced: July, 2019Honestly a very touristic place that locals doesn’t hang out that much. It’s is more expensive than usual since it’s a touristic area. A lot of nice restaurants, art shops, galleries and museums. It’s not one of those dangerous /avoid going places but (in case you’re clubbing and such) be careful if you’re out after midnight till morning. Avoid going/passing by tarlabaşı.

Osmaniye is a small town that is worth visiting for its proximity to nature and the historical sites around it. The cost of living is relatively low, and the food is very good because it is fresh and local. We stayed with friends, so we didn't have any accommodation costs. The city is very safe, we have walks in the later evening. I highly recommend the walk to Karaçay Şelalesi and a visit to Kastabala Castle. Don't hesitate to go and meet the locals, you're sure to have a wonderful time.

Istanbul was stunning—views, mosques, food—but I didn’t always feel safe. Daytime felt fine; at night around Taksim/Istiklal I met pushy touts, catcalling, and a taxi scam attempt. Keep valuables close, stick to lit streets, and use taxi apps. I’d still recommend it, just use big-city caution.

Istanbul is very safe overall. I’d say majority of the city is safe and only very specific districts could be considered as extremely out of Istanbul from the aspects of appearance, the behaviours/acts or dress code of the people. I personally didn’t witness any safety issues during the day it’s mostly safe at night time, just that you may feel unsafe in solely remoted and poorly developed districts or areas.
Posted: January 14, 2026since it’s the capital, it’s a really diverse city so you should be aware of some areas but other than that most people living here are government workers or uni students, which makes it pretty safe.

Istanbul is not safe at night generally but Sarıyer is one of the safe places here. There not any bars, coffees or shops open late at night. Therefore, there is no nightlife. I can say walking here, side of the coast is safe.
Posted: January 12, 2026It is okay i guess. But if you are a solo girl be careful in nights. Some elderly people don't like strangers. And there are creepy mans who are drunk at nights and try to rob you. Not very common though. I never encounter with them. But we heard news. It is best to be careful rather than sorry
Posted: January 5, 2026In my experience Beylikdüzü has always been very safe! Sometimes we would walk late at night and the streets would be lit up well, there would be no people. Generally there would never be any trouble!

Hey, I’m Beyza. I’m 19, obsessed with traveling, and currently on a mission: 19 countries before I turn 20. I’m spending my gap year exploring the world while collecting ideas for my future social enterprise. Yes, I travel like I’m running a field research project. In September 2026, I’m planning to start university in either Italy or the US. I love meeting new people, spontaneous plans, getting lost (and then pretending it was part of the plan), and analyzing every city like a case study. Ig: Wispybeyza

I love travelling and solo-travel has become kind of a therapy for me over the years:) If you are in İstanbul, I can show you around at weekends and give you some tips as well. You can ask any questions, please don’t be shy. My home is a bit far from the touristic places, but if you need a place to crash you can come over:)

Heyy, I'm Ece. I recently moved to Istanbul for my first job, and I'm saving up for masters (which will take quite some time -so wish me luck!) I like going into the nature, music and food exchange and the beauty of daily simple pleasures. My biggest passion is cooking international food. I also enjoy reading books and sharing quotes with my friends so we can reflect together. I've been to Balkan countries, Italy, Germany, Czechia(where I did my Erasmus, so it has a special place in my heart. ) Poland, Oslo(my first ever solo trip was unbelievably smooth and full of adventures), Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. In my travels, I like to check off my must-see spots first so that I can get lost in streets, connect with locals, try all the local food, and do some shopping. I know I shouldn't hold on to the things I buy while traveling, but they make me feel alive haha I love international environments, deep talks about our 20s, cozy candle light book sessions, minimalism. Sometimes I feel the urge to get out of my comfort zone - after all, we only live once, right? "What you are now, we once were; what we are now, you shall be."

Hi everyone! I’m Valeri — a professional musician, traveler and creative soul currently living in Fethiye, Turkey for the past three years. Music is my lifelong passion — I compose, perform and explore sound as a form of connection between people and cultures. I’ve been lucky to visit amazing countries such as Thailand, Italy, Sri Lanka, Austria, Hungary, and Poland, and I’m planning to travel soon to Japan and Bali. I love nature, hiking, and being active outdoors — exploring new trails, mountains and seaside views gives me so much inspiration for my music. I’m also fascinated by architecture, culture and traditions of every country I visit. As a Leo, I’m naturally warm, curious and open-hearted. I love meeting new people, sharing experiences and exchanging creative energy. Whether it’s music, travel stories, or just good conversation — I’m always up for it! Looking forward to connecting with like-minded, inspiring women around the world 🌎💫

Hello crazy ladies! I'm Mel - I live in Bursa but my soul is constantly roaming! ✈️ I work in human resources in daily life; that is, I take the question "will this person go on a long journey with us" seriously in recruitment processes. Now I'm here to introduce myself as "long journey" in this club.🎒 I like dark tunes in music and lots of laughter in conversation. Camping, hiking, streets, street food... I'm all for it. I'm very serious: I have the map, a long playlist and a lighter. Only you are left! Let's meet on the road!🫶🏻✨

This is Beyza ✨ I'm a doctor, working in a small city in Turkiye. I want to travel as much as possible to learn new languages and cultures. I would like to visit festivals, events and some interesting manifestations which can improve my knowledge about the country I am visiting. I play guitar, ukulele a bit of piano and like to listen to other people play something. Also I am interested in photography and every type of art. I like to describe myself as a very open-minded person, always willing to learn, help, teach, share and participate in adventure. I like riding bike, hiking and running. My favorite food... I like tasting new and traditional things (except too spicy). In my spare time I like to sing, read, go to theatre and cinema. I like to spend time in nature and I am not that much into big cities, I would like to visit hidden treasures of every country. My favorite season is spring because I like warm weather and spring flowers. People say that I am very energetic and usually they remember me by my smile. I do laugh a lot 😄 I would like to share my experiences and my place with good couchsufers who will come and visit Ankara.
